Adelaide Hills Computers was launched in 1995 as a proprietary limited company. The registered business name was separated from the company when it changed its name to Problem Solving Pty Ltd in 2000 and remained unused until reactivated in 2008.
The company traded as Aldgate Computers, a retail computer shop until that business was sold in 2006. Problem Solving Pty Ltd continued in parallel as a consulting business, offering expertise to large corporations. A separate company, Adelaide Hills Consulting was established for a specific software development project.
Adelaide Hills Computers recommenced business in October 2008, specializing in computer services to homes, schools and businesses in the Adelaide Hills. The proprietor, Peter Vervoorn, was contracted to manage several school networks in Port Augusta from October 2010 to February 2012, Crafers Primary in 2013 to 2015 and Lenswood Primary School from 2013 to mid-2016.
